“What did it mean to live by lies? It meant, Solzhenitsyn writes, accepting without protest all the falsehoods and propaganda that the state compelled its citizens to affirm—or at least not to oppose—to get along peaceably under totalitarianism. Everybody says that they have no choice but to conform, says Solzhenitsyn, and to accept powerlessness. But that is the lie that gives all the other lies their malign force. The ordinary man may not be able to overturn the kingdom of lies, but he can at least say that he is not going to be its loyal subject.”― Rod Dreher, Live Not by Lies: A Manual for Christian Dissidents
My husband was arrested by the FBI in an early morning raid at our home on October 5, 2022. I detail that story in an article I wrote called, “The Day The FBI Kidnapped My Husband.” Biden’s DOJ charged him with 2 felony counts: 1- violation of FACE and 2- Conspiracy. He is facing 11 yrs in prison and over 350K in fines and 3 years supervised release. After the federal government arrested him and booked him into the Nashville holding facility, not only was fingerprinted, his DNA was taken by mouth swab. He was released with pre-trial conditions. The next day, he was instructed to return to the federal court building to meet with “Pre-Trial Services” and his “Pre-Trial Officer” overseer who would be monitoring his life until the trial.
Before Biden’s DOJ conspired to persecute us, I had no idea there was such a thing as “Pre-Trial Services”. It sounds like something out of Orwell’s 1984 or Minority Report’s Pre-Crime Division except it’s not. This time it’s real. The “Pre-Trial Service Department” and your “Pre-Trial Service Officer” and your “Pre-Trial Release Conditions” form a kind of “Pre-Trial life” you and your family will now live because these are the kind enough terms you get for being released from prison before your trial— your trial that has been set over a year after your arrest. You have been indicted by the federal government with the now trendy, super elastic charge of conspiracy. Which, as we all know, is a catchall charge that can be used to persecute anyone who the regime detests. You have not been convicted of a crime yet, but you live under pre-trial conditions that promise to imprison you if you violate your pre-trial, pre-conviction of a crime conditions. The PTSD department, aptly acronymed and the newspeak is important here, is very real and straight out of the current Gulag Archipelago: American Regime rendition we find ourselves in. I suppose the intent of such a service is designed for monitoring legitimate federal criminals, however, whatever the original intent, in our case, “Pre-Trial Services” works like this:
Turn in your passport. You will not leave the country.
Do you have guns? Turn in your guns.
Schedule a in home visitation to be conducted by your pre-trial service officer. The government needs to check and make sure your home is safe. Do you have proper stair railings? Ohh, you don’t want a personal in-home visit? That’s ok, we will accommodate. Download this app on your phone and we will do a non-invasive call and virtual tour where you will show us the inside of your home virtually.
Travel Restrictions: You may not travel outside a specific radius unless you have permission to travel. A travel permit is required to leave your travel radius. You must ask your PTS officer for permission to travel by submitting a travel permission form. Where you are going? Why? How long will you be there? Who is going with you? How much are you going to spend on this trip? Who is paying for the trip? And the make, model and license plate number of the vehicle you are taking? And the address of the place you are staying?
You may not go within 20 feet of ANY building that offers Reproductive Health Services.
You are to check in every month with your Pre-Trial Service Officer. You are to report if you are obeying the rules and report your work status. How much money did you make this month?
To monitor you further, after 6 months, we also want to talk to your wife or your coworker and ask them if you have been obeying the rules.
After appealing to his overloads on the injustice on some of these requirements and restrictions which had not been approved by the judge, my husband maintained his right to not have his guns removed from our home and his right to not have his and his family’s privacy invaded by invasive home visits. Others who were indicted in this same case, however, had their weapons removed from their homes and endured home visitations where Pre-Trial Services videoed their homes and drew sketches of their home’s floor plan layout.
The ridiculousness of it all seems like it came straight out of a dystopian novel. It’s laughable if it were not actual reality. This is America in 2023 where it once seemed like an impossible stage for dystopian fiction, now the live show is playing regularly in cities and towns all around you. Here we are, eerily similar to those in times past who found themselves under evil, oppressive regimes. Whether it be the 2nd century Christians in Rome who refused the oath that said Caesar was Lord or those millions of people in the 20th century under the Soviet or Nazi regimes who endured much persecution for not bowing to lies, the timeline of history records stories of good men and women who were persecuted by evil regimes. That is the fact of our existence in a fallen world. When the wicked rule, the people groan and when the righteous rule, the people rejoice proclaims the Proverb. Refusing to live by lies is not comfortable but it is necessary, not only for the sake of civilization but for man himself, to truly be free from tyranny.
We covet your prayers as trial begins in January of 2024. We do not fear man or evil governments or regimes. We fear only God who is greater and mightier than all earthly powers and will execute perfect justice in His time. We entrust ourselves to His hands.
“It is up to us today to take up this challenge, to live not by lies and to speak the truth that defeats evil. How do we do this in a society built on lies? By accepting a life outside the mainstream, courageously defending the truth, and being willing to endure the consequences.”
